Forces the browser's back button to behave
When Adobe bought Flash in 2007 they improved ActionScript, image and text quality and better intergrated the production process with PhotoShop and Illustrator thus securing Flash as the future of web site development.

However Flash sites are notorious for behaving badly when the browser's back-button is used. Usually you are bounced back to the previous site instead of the previous page. With Flash Back installed page transitions are smooth, common elements such as navigation and images need only load once and if the user decides to use the browser's back-button it behaves.

Other solutions force the use of html framesets which create their own problems with Deep Linking and SEO. Flash Back offers a purely Flash solution to the 'back-button' problem without resorting to html framesets.

Flash web sites that are delivered in a single html page have an inherent problem when it comes to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Deep Linking. When building a html web site the developer uses meta-tags such as title, description and keywords to ensure that search engines index each web page allowing those searching the net to find relevent content. In addition, search engines index the text and image tags on a html page again helping those interested to find the page.

Flash Back solves the problem and even turns it into an advantage allowing web developers to create entrance web pages that link directly to the appropriate page within the Flash web site (Deep Linking). Any page on the main timeline may be an entrance page. Which page or frame is determined by html pages in the 'seoPages' folder. Any number of html pages may be created and each can have unique body text, title, description and keyword meta-tags.

Here's how it woks
Search engines analyse the scripting within the html page and if a redirect is detected the page is not indexed. However they do not check inside Flash modules and since the redirect is in an embedded Flash module the search engines never detects it and the html page is indexed. This allows for an optimized SEO because users never see this page. Within reason, developers and SEO specialists may write content that repeats keywords and phrases without having to worry about how it looks to the end user because they never see the page. Instead the user is redirected to the requested page within the Flash web site.

Flash Back for Google Analytics
Google offers a free comprehensive reporting system that tracks all aspects of web site activity in terms of number of visits, pages viewed, Flash version, top content, top landing pages, top exit pages and many more useful statistics that are vital when tracking marketing and promotional campaigns on the internet. Unforuntantly, single page Flash web sites do not send the most useful and important information to Google Analytics. Information such as pages viewed, time spent on a page, top content, top landing pages and top exit pages are not tracked at all. In order to take advantage of this technology the single page Flash web site needs to be able to link directly to any page within the Flash movie. Simply place your ad with Google AdWords and provide a link to your site and Flash SEO will display the requested page within the Flash movie. Covered under the one license is the right to create any number of html pages and located them anywhere on the domain server. Each html page can link directly to any page in the Flash movie or more than one html page can link to the same page in the Flash movie.

Please note that a separate Flash Back license is required for each Flash web site as well as optional features such as Flash SEO, Flash Analylics and Flash Adwords. Having a Flash Back license for a particular domain enables all Flash web sites within that domain regardless of where the files are on the server. Flash Back, Flash SEO, Flash Analylics and Flash Adwords are managed from the administration module.
